Three generations of coffee growers and traders, from one of Earth's richest biodiversity hotspots, have built a heritage for the world's most discerning roasters and importers. Premium Arabica and Robusta lots, and trusted partnerships that connect Indian coffee with the rest of the world.
Our Coffee
Every lot is traceable, graded and cupped to SCA standards, ready for speciality and commercial markets worldwide.
The Crown Jewel of Indian Arabica — hand-sorted, bold and expressive.
India's most distinctive export — aged by monsoon winds for rare earthy complexity.
Washed Robusta grown above 1,000m — as clean and precise as premium Arabica.
Traceable single-origin coffees curated for roasters and speciality buyers each season.
Indian Coffee Heritage
India's coffee story begins in 1670, when the sage Baba Budan carried seven sacred seeds into the hills of Chikkamagaluru — the same hills where Fame Kafeya's founders' families have grown coffee across three generations.
Unlike almost any other origin on earth, Indian coffee grows beneath a natural two-tier forest canopy in the Western Ghats, one of the world's 25 UNESCO biodiversity hotspots. This shade-grown method preserves an extraordinary ecosystem while producing beans of unmatched complexity, low acidity and a deep, lingering body.
"By Nature. Chosen by Experts."
Farm to Export
From ripe cherry to sealed export container, our six-stage process ensures quality, consistency and full traceability.
Hand-picking of only ripe red cherries for peak uniformity and flavour potential.
Natural sun-drying or fully washed — processing profile chosen for the buyer's target market.
Destoners and cleaning machinery remove all foreign debris for clean, uniform lots.
Mechanical removal of dried parchment to reveal the green bean beneath.
Gravity separators and electronic colour-sort eject every structural defect from the lot.
Screen-sorted to SCA grade, vacuum-sealed in GrainPro liners, ready for ocean freight.
Why Fame Kafeya
Mr. Suman HG and Mr. Robin D'Almeida come from families with deep roots in Karnataka's coffee belt. Their grandparents farmed it. Their parents traded it. They built Fame Kafeya to take it global. With over 20 years of combined experience across farming, processing, and international trade, they understand the full coffee value chain — from the red cherry on the Western Ghats to the cupping table of a speciality roaster in Hamburg.
Co-Founder · International business & database
A coffee professional with over 25 years of industry experience, Suman HG has worked across cultivation, processing and coffee trade.
Co-Founder · Agricultural , production and Q Grader
Drawing from generations of coffee heritage, Robin D'Almeida brings valuable experience in coffee sourcing, trade relationships and market development.
Unlike most global origins, Indian coffee grows under a natural two-tier forest canopy — not a managed monoculture. Slower bean development means richer flavour, lower acidity, and a genuinely sustainable crop with traceability to the forest itself.
The Western Ghats — a UNESCO World Heritage biodiversity hotspot — provides the perfect microclimate for coffee. Elevations from 800 to 1,500 metres produce naturally dense, complex beans with a cup character that no other origin replicates.
Modern optical sorting, SCA cupping standards, and FSSAI and Coffee Board of India certifications mean every lot comes with full traceability documentation, consistent quality scores, and export-ready compliance for European markets.
Direct investments in the welfare and income stability of coffee-growing families across the Western Ghats region of Karnataka.
Education and vocational development programmes within coffee-growing villages, building long-term human capital across the supply chain.
Active environmental stewardship to protect the biodiversity of one of the world's most ecologically critical regions.
Supporting organic agroforestry bionetworks and renewable energy in processing — a path toward carbon-negative supply chains.
